Oh how I love spring!
The feel of the warm sun on my back...
...seeing the sparrows pop along in the grass. They remind me of popping corn as they all hip-hop-pop along. :)
I have tried gardening on a very small scale a few times over the years. A few potted potted tomatoes and peppers and strawberries.
This year, I asked my beloved if we could plant a large garden. I won't ever learn how if I don't just give it a whirl. ;0)
I have found that to be the case with all things...cooking, baking breads and desserts, sewing, needlework... I didn't know how to do those things at one time in my life.
I find it so sad that the things that were once known by all girls and women are foreign to most today. When I first decided that I might like to sew, it seemed so very difficult. I had no idea how I was going to begin to learn to do what seemed to be such a mystery. The same with making bread...
So, I just tried. I followed the directions the first time and didn't understand some of what I was doing but I pushed through to the end and learned from the process and the finished product. And such has been the way since...
The girls and I are terribly excited! What wonderful lessons will be learned!
