Addison wakes first typically; around 6:30 a.m.
My beloved husband was just about to leave the house so he was blessed with her smile and kisses to start his day and she with the loving embrace of her father.
Addison (age 2) and I sat at the table together. I had a cup of coffee and she enjoyed a cup of blueberry tea. She was noticing the sunrise and commenting on how far it reached (all the way from one neighbor's yard to the other neighbor's yard which was as far as she could see). I told her that God brought the sun to us in the east every morning. As we discussed directions and talked more of the sunrise, I began to recall a thought that has passed tthrough my mind more times than I can count over the last many years.
The miracle of the sunrise...

The sunrise is an amazing miracle when you stop to think about all that happens...
...yet it's daily occurrence seems to numb our senses to the beauty and the simply amazing creation...
When I stop and remind myself of this, I always think of Psalm 118:24:
"This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."
This day, today, God created this day.
I shall rejoice and be glad in this day. I must set my mind to rejoicing in all things today.
What is His purpose and His plan in my life .. on this day that He has created?
