The three older girls have their responsibilities for helping get the kitchen and dining room cleaned up after a meal. Darcy is only 15 months but she thinks she is much bigger than she is. :)
She helps push wet laundry into the dryer. She helps put away clean laundry. She helps carry books to the library. She helps put away toys. She always likes to set the table. She wants to stand on the kitchen stools to help cook because that is what she sees all three of her sisters doing.
One of Bailey's chores after a meal is to clean the pans and wipe down the stovetop. We use mostly stoneware and cast iron at our house so she has pans to clean in the sink after every evening meal. She had started cleaning a stone pan one evening and I stopped her because it was time for her to go up to get ready for bed. I told her I would finish her last pan.
Someone beat me to the kitchen to finish the work...
And she was even cleaning the stoneware exactly like you are supposed to! Little brown scraper and all...
