I heard the most beautiful song today. As soon as I figure out who sings it and can give proper credit and direct you to a copy for yourself, I will let you know. Hopefully I will be able to find a way to post the song here for you to listen to it. For now, here are the words:

Can you imagine up in Heaven, God is sitting on his throne anticipating another sinner will soon become His own. Years of wasted living and years of toil and strife are just about to be over as he receives the gift of life!
Go sound the horn! Strike up the choir! A sinner is saved, saved from the fire.

No more in darkness, he's received My Son. All Heaven's rejoicing, that's the value of one.
The Holy Spirit has been working to soften up their hearts. All he needs is a willing vessel to simply do his part. Can you imagine up in Heaven, all the joy there will be that day? As a sinner bows his head to pray. Can't you hear the Father say?
Go sound the horns! Strike up the choir! A sinner is saved, saved from the fire. No more in darkness, he's received My Son. All Heaven's rejoicing, that's the value of one.
Start construction on his mansion there on Hallelujah Street. He doesn't know yet what is waiting when the Savior he will meet.
Go sound the horn! Strike up the choir! A sinner is saved, saved from the fire. No more in darkness, he's received My Son. All Heaven's rejoicing, that's the value of one.
All Heaven's rejoicing, that's the value of one.

This life is not really about the white picket fences that we try so desperately to build around our families and our lives. I learned that four years ago.
Our second child was due to arrive on April 3, 2004. During a normal doctor's visit, we learned that she was terminally ill. I carried her for several weeks before she died on October 17th, 2003. God revealed more of Himself to me in those weeks than I could ever describe.
You see...every moment, every relationship, every conversation... Everything!
It is all about eternity.
One day we will look back upon our lives and wonder why we spent so much time, energy and effort on the things of this world. This world and it's things will pass, but we will continue in eternity...whether spent in Heaven or Hell will last forever.
" 1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4Who will have ALL men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. 7Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. 8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. 9In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 10But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. 11Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety." ~~I Timothy 2
Is it not amazing and humbling that the very angels in Heaven rejoice when a man, a woman or a child "walks" through the gates of Heaven? Can you imagine it? I cannot but I look forward to the day that I will see angels rejoicing. I pray, for myself, that I might always remain focused on the Lord and remember that each day is not really about me or my schedule or my plans but it is about how I will spend eternity, how my husband and my children will spend eternity...how my parents, siblings, their spouses and their children will spend eternity...how my neighbors and my friends and their children and their families will spend eternity...how the postman or the librarian will spend eternity...
It is really about bringing glory to God. Our compass for this life is prayer and our map is God's perfect word.
